Minecraft is a game made up of blocks, creatures, and community. Blocks can be used to reshape the world or build fantastical creations. Creatures can be battled or befriended, depending on your playstyle. It is available for PC, Mac, iOS, and Android.

The Minecraft Marketplace is an in-game store, where players can purchase access to skins, add-ons and worlds from community creators, who in turn get reimbursed for their creations. Players can access these by spending Minecoins, which can be bought with their own currency, or bought directly.

What I did

  • Contracting for Microsoft, I helped develop the Minecraft Marketplace, working on features such as a rating system and wishlist for customers.
  • I engineered menus, lists, links, and more compatible with mobile, desktop, and console platforms.
  • Improved the experience of the online Minecraft Marketplace by fixing bugs using C#, .NET, and JSON.
  • Used Azure DevOps to track and update bugs and features for the Minecraft Marketplace

What I did

  • Working under Cybernetic Entertainment, I led a team of five in the design and development of solid and intuitive user interfaces and user experiences for Luminant Music on desktop and mobile platforms using C# and Unity.
  • I programmed and implemented music playlists, menus, sound effects, audio syncing, levels/scenes, visual effects, video creation, and more.
  • I helped concept, design, and improve levels for game play and spectacular music visualization with teammates.
  • I achieved an exceptional customer experience through quality assurance and bug fixing.
